from satellite earth view: the water for a mile or so from shore along Grande Isle is clear- where there are houses on shore. where no houses oil presses in closer. and outward from that mile area: thicker and thicker... some islands are completely black. Bermuda, Bahamas and Nasau have pink and thickening sheens around them
